Back from Santaquin Canyon with a BIG 3 point, and Jed couldn't be happier.

We went up Friday after work and enjoyed some camping along with the hunt. Nicole went to the first football game followed by the stomp. So after putting together the camp we drove back down to pick up Nicole. She had left the dance early, she was sick. She didn't like the twisty ride back to the camp! Poor girl. Saturday Mike and Jed did the morning hunt, while Nicole and I slept in...Yeah. We ended up driving back into town, Jed lost all his arrows. So we stocked up and drove back to camp. The Craig's came up Saturday afternoon for a Dutchoven dinner. On the way up they got a flat tire. I'm on a diet again so I didn't get any dutch oven desert.
Sunday we all got up at 5:30 in the MORNING. We spotted 4 buck down blacks. Mike and Jed hiked down and tried to cut them off, jed missing his shot. He was bound and determined that 4 point was his. They took us back to camp and went right back up and hiked their butts off and ended up with this pretty 3 point, Jed couldn't be happier. It was exciting to watch Jed pull the head of his buck from the Tahoe. I've never seen felt horns to perfect and pretty. They cut down a tree and went back for the body. They hauld it up from the BOTTOM Blacks Indian Style hanging from this log. By the time they made it to the top they were covered in Ticks...YUCK!!! They took a shower while Nicole and I made em a great big Ribeye steak dinner. They ended up taking a nap while Nicole and I headed back to the house. This was a fun weekend.

Nicole is a Senior this year and will be 18 years old next month...I'm not ready for this! It's really sad.

Jed is a Freshman this year. I remember when I was his age. I thought I was so grown up. He's still our Baby whether he likes it or not. He's our Jeddy-Beans.
Did you notice Nicole's bag is bigger than she is.

Our Otter Creek Family and Friend Reunion was a BLAST!!! The pictures tell all. WARNING this may take awhile to view.

We left Thursday morning for Otter Creek. Two hours into our trip we had a radiator hose blow off which caused our engine to heat up. I was a little up tight worring about our engine. Luckily everything was fine. While we were stranded on the side of the road we noticed Three little Wreaths with Three little rubber duckies. This was a accident that happened whithin the year. You could see how the car must have veared off the road missing the turn, going threw and shearing off the trees just before impacting the mountain side. This poor family must have lost three of their children. This really impacted me! It put everything into prospective. It's easy to find yourself in such a hurry, expecting everything to go as planned, irritated and frustrated when it does not. A radiator hose! I am so grateful and so fortunate to have my life, all my children, my husband and all my extended family and friends.
This was really fun and much needed. It's been to long since we have spent time together. My grandma stuck it through and roughed it all. I heard some of the grandkids and great grandkids talk about how funny it was to see how determined she was to catch a fish. How cool is that for the kids to sit at the edge of the lake fishing with their great grandmother.
My favorite part of the trip was the cousins. I remember the days with my cousins, they are precious memories to me. The cousins had so much fun this weekend. I'm sure this weekend will be part of their precious memories when they are adults.
I enjoyed my visit with all my Aunts, Uncles, Sister, Nieces, Nephew, Cousins, 2nd Cousins, Grandmother, Mother and Father, my in-laws and my very sweet friend Malissa and her cute little family and last but surly not least my kids and husband.........I love you all.
We had alot of Family show up Saturday for the Pot Luck Dinner. It was alot of fun and was really yummy. I really like this pavilion, and plan on having a family/friend reunion there again. Thank you all for showing up. I love you all.
