Today our Journey begins...

We left Saturday afternoon right in the middle of that horrible rain storm, that made me a little nervous. We arrived in Logan and spent our first night in the Walmart parking lot. Mike woke up to a Fathers Day suprise. He thought fathers Day would be pasted on by because we had spent so much money on the trip so this was fun. The kids and I bought him this tool kit he wanted real bad.
Our plan was to stay at Bear Lake, it was so cold we drove right on through. We went through cool little historical towns. We finally made it to Jackson Hole and took Doug's advice and ate at "Bubbas" They specialize in Barbeque Ribs and they are Yummy, we even bought a gallon of Bubbas famous B-Bque sauce.
We arrived in the Tetons Sunday and was on the water Monday. We was on the waters edge eating our lunch. We heard a snap, turned around, their stood a Mother Moose and baby. I ended up getting burnt to a crisp, I even got two cold sores.
Mike insisted on water skiing in 40^ water. He wanted a picture of him jumping in front of the Grand Tetons. He wore 2 wet suits. What a beautiful lake. The water was so blue with pines growing right to the edge of the water. This is the prettiest lake I have ever seen in real life.
We seen a lot of Moose in Jackson, we didn't see any in yellowstone.
We stored our boat before entering Yellowstone. I'm sure glad we did, I dont think we could have pulled it through some of the campgrounds.

Our journey through Yellowstone National Park

This is our first time here. We enjoyed all the wildlife. Our goal was GRIZZLY BEARS, Jed's favorite. We found four Grizzly Bears however, they just looked like specks in the binoculars. But hey! we seen them. My favorite was the Bison. Well maybe not, I enjoyed the Black Bear that was right next to us, that was pretty cool too. We camped in a different camp ground each night. That was kinda fun. The waterfalls and hotpots were amazing. Jed was disapointed with "Old Faithful". I dont know what he was expecting, I thought it was really neat. We had a "Great Horned Owl" in the tree next to our camp, they are the biggest owl (the one in the photo is the baby) you should have seen the Mamma. WOW! Did you notice the sign by our Motorhome? Those signs were all over, I was nervous to sit around the camp fire. I was worried we'd be his next meal.

See the brown speck? That's a GRIZZLY!!! That's as close as we got. Dang it.

This was the kid's favorite part of the trip.

We ended our week long vacation at Lava Hot Springs in Idaho. We will definitely go back, and soon!!! If you've never been their before I highly recommend it. The funnest part was the river ride. For $6.00 bucks you can have 5 hours of fun!!! It's great exercise, you walk back up. The hot pots was a little to hot for me. 120^ may feel tolerable in the winter. They have a great swimming pool. I didn't get pictures of it, but it reminded me of the pools in my day. The good old days, when swimming pools had high dives. This pool even had a 30' platform to dive off of. It was insane, we don't even cliff dive from anything that high in Powell....scary.

We ended our trip with a quick stop at Grandmas House

Mike set up a race between Jed and some kid riding his bike down the road. Jed wasn't part of this game, so he didn't really try. The kid won and was excited to win the buck!
